DENNIS ELWELL'S DIALOGUE
WITH THE RESEARCHERS

A little while after 'Year Zero' was published, Dennis Elwell got in touch to say that he felt the comments of the Researchers in chapters 9 and 10 could, and should, have been subjected to a much more vigorous attack than they received in the book.

I suggested that, if he felt that way, perhaps he would like to write such a critique himself, which could then be posted on this site. He did; the Researchers exercised their right of reply - and a series of exchanges ensued. To follow it in the order it happened, begin at the top and work down:

Dennis Elwell - The Researchers Researched: A Reply to the Cynics
In which the author of The Cosmic Loom provides a critique of Chapters 9 & 10 of Astrology in the Year Zero - that is, the interview with the researchers.
Geoffrey Dean, Ivan Kelly, Arthur Mather, Rudolf Smit
Their response to Dennis Elwell's The Researchers Researched.
Suitbert Ertel - Remarks on Gauquelin
Suitbert raises some further issues about the way Dennis Elwell's The Researchers Researched describes the Gauquelin work.
Dennis Elwell - Scholars Versus Scribblers
A response to the above; also incorporates comments on Ivan Kelly's article, 'The Concepts of Modern Astrology: A Critique'.
More from Geoffrey Dean, Ivan Kelly, Arthur Mather, Rudolf Smit
Their response to Dennis Elwell's Scholars versus Scribblers.
Dennis Elwell - On Ubiquity, Evidence and Hard Hats
Is in the form of an open letter from Elwell to Dean/Kelly/Mather/Smit, addressing many of the points they have raised in their 'Response' of 2 July 01 and elsewhere.
Geoffrey Dean, Ivan Kelly, Arthur Mather, Rudolf Smit
Their response to Dennis Elwell's On Ubiquity, Evidence & Hard Hats.
Dennis Elwell - Memo to the Careful Ones
Elwell's 'final word' in this dialogue includes comments on the previous 2 offerings from the Dean/Kelly/Mather/Smit team.
